I agree with Chad. In my new gig we use Subversion and nAnt for versioning and software builds and it has been great.I have even started using Subversion to version documents. It handles Word and Excel amazingly well.Like all version control systems I recommend studying how they work first and setting up a good process with your development team on how to handle different versions, branching, labeling, comments, etc.One of the 2 subversion book I have read on Subversion is free online.
